U.S. President, Barack Obama said Thursday it is “too early to tell” if China’s decision to allow the yuan to appreciate enough to give rise to an adjustment of U.S. and Chinese currencies.
In the comments a few days before the summit of the Group of 20 to be held in Canada, Obama suggested that early signs China agreement to allow the yuan to appreciate were “positive.” This is good news for trading for dummies who specialize in forex markets
Obama made the comments during a news conference at the White House with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. During the weekend said China would loosen the fixing of the yuan against the dollar, in force for almost two years.
Obama said that will be the Treasury secretary, Timothy Geithner, who determine the appropriate pace of yuan appreciation. But he added that China must make its own decision on the pace and consistency of how well the yuan will rise iin relation to the dollar. As such we must observe the moves of China in order to tell if the yuan continues to stay correctly valuated in forex markets.
